CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. – Campbellsville University has named Dr. Monica Hardin, Associate Provost and Administrative Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences.

Hardin began her journey with CU in 2024, becoming an associate professor of History. Since that time, Hardin has shown her commitment to CU and its students by serving in any way she can. That same year, she became Assistant Vice President of Academic Affairs and acting dean. Now, only two years later, Hardin has been named Associate Provost and Administrative Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences.

The title of associate provost is no small task. Hardin will use her higher education experience to guide the College of Arts and Sciences. This is one of four major colleges found within the CU academic body and includes the School of Humanities and Sciences, the School of Education, the School of Theology and the School of the Arts.

Hardin will also oversee research and the implementation of new academic programs, such as the newly announced agriculture degree. Other roles will include connecting with international university partnerships and aiding in fundraising opportunities.

With more than two decades of higher education, Hardin is ready to take on this new role. “It is a privilege to be trusted with more responsibility. CU holds a unique position in higher education-its culture of creativity, agility, and ingenuity is uncommon. I get to do purposeful work with and for people I respect and trust, and I am grateful for the opportunity.”

Vice President of Academic Affairs, Dr. Jeanette Parker, is excited to be working alongside the new Associate Provost.

“Dr. Monica Hardin brings a wealth of experience from a variety of academic settings in both faculty and administrative roles. She is a creative team member and a skilled leader. I am grateful for her innovative spirit, problem-solving skills, and sense of humor. This role capitalizes on her ability to see the broad University vision and bring us together to pursue our mission and serve students. CU is blessed to have her.”

Dr. Hardin also received her Bachelor of Science in Education from Ouachita University in 1998. She went on to earn her Master of Arts in History in 2003 and her Ph.D. in History in 2006, both from Florida State University.
